Our Vision

Why this work matters

๐Ÿœƒ Relationships between the philanthropic sector and nonprofit sector are transformed to ones based on equity, humanity and partnership, and nonprofits are in the lead.

๐Ÿœƒ Community, nonprofits and funders will be able to think through challenges together, learn from each other, heal together, and resource each otherโ€™s strengths to drive solutions that are informed and led by people closest to them.

๐Ÿœƒ Safe spaces are created where people learn about each other as people first, are able to have difficult discussions, can build trust with each other, and experiment and learn together. Unconventional relationships are built between funders, nonprofits, and the community in order to drive capital to people and places that have historically been extracted from.

๐Ÿœƒ We see capital accessible and flowing to the best ideas not just the best connected. We commonly see the use of integrated capital approaches.

๐Ÿœƒ We see the best solutions being appropriately capitalized from idea to market to scale.

๐Ÿœƒ We see the ALICE number at an acceptable level (much lower than current).

How did we accomplish this change?

๐Ÿœƒ We presented thought leaders and workshops on just funding to members and followed with active relationship/ collaborative building.

๐Ÿœƒ Holding hands to authentically address community issues by building trusted relationships amongst those with resources of varying measure.

๐Ÿœƒ Safe spaces are created where people learn about each other as people first, are able to have difficult discussions, build trust with each other, experiment and learn together. Unconventional relationships are built between funders and nonprofits and the community in order to drive capital to people and communities that have historically been extracted from.

๐Ÿœƒ We do this by extending aloha to create an ever expanding สปohana of people committed to doing good; aloha aku aloha mai, ike aku ike mai pela iho la ka nohona สปohana recognize and be recognized, help and be helped, such is the way of the family

๐Ÿœƒ Philanthropy sees its capital as catalytic and creates opportunities for collaboration both within philanthropy and with public and private capital.
